So this is one of my first major projects as part of the Digital Team at Eden. We filmed the Rainforest Biome going from day to night using a time laps camera as well as shooting some footage in the dark. This is a short viral video that we have put out in the hope to promote a halloween based event. What is the scariest thing in the rainforest? well it could be that an area the size of Edens Rainforest Biome is being cut down every 10 seconds...
For more information on the event click here, its guaranteed to be a scary one...

New beginnings
so its been just over two months since i finished university and some how i have landed myself a pretty sweet job. i am about to start working at the Eden Project in Cornwall as their web designer!

this is a dream job and i feel so lucky to have been offered the chance to work within a team to help try and improve, engage and spread the word about the Eden Project and all that they do. This will be a mammoth commute everyday from my home in Falmouth but its going to be worth it, all i need to do now is get designing!

shows up, lets go crabbing
all my work is finished and uni is pretty much over and done with! such a strange feeling to have it all done, here is what it looked like 5 mins before hand in:

so now that the works all done, we've had time to relax and go play in the sunshine. making the most of the last few weeks in cornwall, we decided to go do a small spot of crabbing.

bit of a taster
its been a mad rush these past few weeks to get all of our work finished in time for our graduate show which opens on tuesday 22nd june. here is a small taster of some work that iv been busy designing until then:

these are order booklets i have designed for a hypothetical pen company called Think who are aimed at people within the design industry.
the idea behind the booklet being that you create your own individual pen that becomes unique to you. peel off the stickers of your choices and stick onto the visual order form.
start with the nibs, ink then the pen barrel and its colour. this becomes a unique set as each element has its own ligature assigned to it so when you put all your choices together your pen develops its own character, a unique name.
Tear the order form away from the rest of the booklet, fill in your payment details and seal.
Send off then sit back and wait for your Think pen to arrive.

RSA roadtrip
last wednesday we ventured up to the big LDN where we were part of an event called the RSA Vaults which showcased our portfolios to big and little designers and other creative people from within the industry. it was a long night but well wort it for some of the feedback i received on my portfolio. during the journey we came across half a house on the back of a lorry. it looked like it had been chopped in two, you could see the rooms within it perfectly. it was all very strange...
